Peter Kay is one of Britain’s funniest comics, as well as a fantastic creator of award winning television.

The Bolton-born funnyman recently appeared on the BBC playing John Redmond in his BAFTA winning series, Car Share. As well as Car Share, the 43-year old has written and starred in a number of other popular shows, including Phoenix Nights, Max & Paddy’s Road To Nowhere and That Peter Kay Thing.

To date there is no confirmation that either of the later three mentioned titles will be returning with a new series, however the comic has hinted that Phoenix Nights is on the cards to be expanded upon.

Kay hasn’t only appeared in content he has written. The northerner has impressed when playing parts in shows such as Cradle to Grave and Roary the Racing Car, as well as making cameo appearances in Coronation Street, Mrs Brown’s Boys and The Catherine Tate Show.
