It has been seven years since Jacqueline Jossa replaced Madeline Duggan as Lauren Branning in EastEnders, but the actress looks very different today.
The character of Lauren Branning first appeared on Albert Square in 2006 with Max, played by Jake Wood, Tanya, played by Jo Joyner and Abi, played by Lorna Fitzgerald.
She immediately made her mark in Walford by striking up a romance with neighbour Peter Beale, then played by Thomas Law. Lauren and her boyfriend melted hearts with their young love.
Madeline’s version of Lauren was also at the centre of one of the most explosive EastEnders moments of all time, when she played the shocking video tape of her lothario father cheating with his daughter-in-law Stacey Slater-Branning-Fowler, played by Lacey Turner.
However, after four years in the BBC soap, Madeline walked away from her breakout role to pursue other projects.
A move which has proves successful on the most part.
In 2016, she starred alongside former Game of Thrones star Stephen Dillane in the hit thriller The Tunnel: Sabotage, as well as roles in Silent Witness and television movie Unknown Heart.
With over 13,000 followers on Instagram, Madeline regularly treats her fans to a number of sultry snaps; even going as far as purchasing her own selfie light.
“I bought a selfie light to use when I self tape… But in the meantime I’m having so much fun with it lol,” she teased on social media.
